This pioneering collaboration between the Joycean community and professional astronomers will explore the many references in Ulysses to Dunsink time, astronomical phenomena and astronomers. Readings, discussion, questions - and possibly even a song or two! It will be held in the original meridian room of the observatory, now part of DIAS, the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies, where Dunsink time was determined. Contributors will include Professor Luke Drury (DIAS), Des Gunning and Darina Gallagher.
“The clock is worked by an electric wire from Dunsink. Must go out there...”
