A Joycean evening: on June 15 at 20.00. Begin your Joycean celebrations on the eve of Bloomsday in Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre on Saturday June 15th at 20.00 hours. A team of actors will perform enlightening extracts from ‘Ulysses’, ‘Dubliners,’ A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man’ and more. Tenor Simon Morgan and a Soprano will be accompanied by Josh Johnston in songs that James Joyce sang or which feature in his work. Must be pre-booked. Admission is €17.50

Dalkey Schoolroom Scene: on June 16 at 15:30: The Nestor Episode from ‘Ulysses’ will be brought to life before your eyes in a memorable dramatisation featuring Mr Deasy, (Headmaster) and Stephen Dedalus (James Joyce). There are surprising Dalkey connections with Joyce which will be uncovered in the guided Joycean Walk, led by an expert Joycean Guide immediately afterwards. Must be pre-booked. Admission €15.00.
