Supported by DIAS, Maths Week Ireland, Joyceboro and Dublin City Public Libraries.
The Heaventree of Stars is a Bloomsday celebration of astronomy, maths, music and science in Ulysses. This beautiful summer’s evening of readings, discussions and music will be held in the original meridian room of the observatory, now part of the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS).
Contributors will include Prof. Luke Drury (DIAS), Eoin Gill (Maths Week Ireland) and Des Gunning (Joyceboro). Darina Gallagher and Sinead Murphy from ‘Songs of Joyce’ will perform music and readings from Joyce’s work. The event will include refreshments and a tour of the observatory.
