Start your Bloomsday celebrations with a feast of entertainment and food in the beautiful Edwardian surroundings of Bewley’s Grafton Street. Darina Gallagher and Sinead Murphy will bring you to the heart of James Joyce’s Dublin with their award-winning musical theatre show. Joyce’s Dublin a very noisy place full of bells and whistles, drunken cries and raucous laughter. It is a city full of singers and composers, of music hall and pantomime artistes, of pub concerts and organ grinders. But it is music that is central the city’s soundscape. Songs of Joyce will bring you on a fabulous musical journey through Joyce’s writing from Ulysses, Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, Dubliners and Finnegans Wake. A light supper will be served from 7pm.
