For the thirtieth successive year, the award-winning Joyce performers, Balloonatics, re-enact Ulysses in its home city. Just turn up on June 16th for our theatrical walks: we’ll ask for a contribution at the end. Paul O’Hanrahan as usual leads the team and, as has become our tradition, we start with Leopold Bloom at Eccles Street corner at 8 a.m. We then cross town to Westland Row, where we meet opposite Pearse Station at 10 a.m., as Leopold sets off to collect a letter. Find us at the Joyce statue on North Earl Street at 12.15 p.m. and follow Bloom into the hungry belly of the city.
Once again we’ll be in the historic Wynn’s Hotel on Abbey Street for Humid Nightblue Fruit at 7.30 p.m. €10 tickets for this rousing Joyce celebration in words and music are available on the night. Open session at the end.
