Bloomsday Film Festival: Adrian Brinkerhoff Poetry Foundation Bloomsday Showcase

Premiere of this year’s Adrian Brinkerhoff / Bloomsday ‘Universal City’ poetry film series featuring talks and live poetry performances.

Over the past four years, the Bloomsday Film Festival has collaborated with the Adrian Brinkerhoff Poetry Foundation to produce poetry films inspired by the works of Joyce and the spirit of modern Dublin—his self-proclaimed ‘Universal City’.

Join us as we premiere this year’s series of films, including poetry performances by actor Kwaku Fortune and poet Rafael Mendes as well as a Stephen James Smith poem from a previous edition. The event will feature a talk by Brinkerhoff’s frequent collaborator, director Matthew Thompson, as well as Q & As with filmmakers and performers, and live poetry performances from Stephen James Smith and Rafael Mendes. The evening will be introduced by Brinkerhoff’s Executive Director, Amy Holmes, and presented by series producer and Bloomsday Film Festival director, Tommy Creagh.

Film Lineup:

Arrive verb by Rafael Mendes, directed by Matthew Thompson
