The Ringsend & District Historical Society in partnership with Dublin City Council’s South East Area Community Team and with support by the Ringsend & Irishtown Community Centre is proud to present Bloomsday Villages: Ringsend & Irishtown on 11-16th June. Ringsend is where James Joyce and Nora Barnacle had their first date on June 16th, 1904. the date on which Ulysses is set. What better way to celebrate Bloomsday than to spend it where it all began!
Enjoy a special Bloomsday boat trip around Dublin Bay on board the St Brigid on Saturday, 13th June at 8am. The boat will depart from and return to the Poolbeg Yacht & Boat Club. The cruise will finish at 10am.
