Marilyn Monroe Turns 100

Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe (born Norma Jeane Mortensen on 1st June, 1926), tour guide and actress Leonor Bethencourt puts a ‘Marilyn Monroe’ filter on Irish folklore and history with her walking tour on Sunday, 14th June at 12pm & 3pm.

Inspired by her life and career in the movies, Leonor connects Marilyn imaginatively to Molly Malone, The Lady on the Rock, Molly Bloom of Ulysses, Lola Montez, Gretta Conroy of “The Dead”, Father Theobald Matthew’s mid 19th century temperance movement, institutional and foster care, and the Ireland of the 1950s. Join her for this special Bloomsday Festival tour!
