The Poetry Stroll: A Guided Literary Walking Tour (James Joyce Tower)
The Poetry Stroll brings Dublin’s literary history to life through poetry and music. This artist-led literary walking tour explores James Joyce’s Dublin, following the artist’s footsteps through the city, guided by song. Though best known as a writer, Joyce was also a singer and poet, and it is through this lens that we encounter his world: Dublin at the beginning of the twentieth century. At the iconic James Joyce Tower & Museum in Sandycove, we encounter Joyce through the prism of song, friendship, rivalry and artistic ambition.
As we walk the streets and visit the places that shaped him, the stroll shines a light on Joyce’s artistic aspirations, creative life and places he later immortalised in Dubliners, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, and Ulysses.
The Poetry Stroll is organised and led by songwriter R.M. Jacobs. Find out more on www.poetrystroll.com!
