UCD Alumni in Bloom celebrates the best cultural, artistic, musical and literary outputs of the UCD community inspired by Bloomsday. Immerse yourself in a programme which includes the annual UCD Alumni Orchestra concert, spoken word performances of Strolling Through Ulysses!, screenings of In Time: Donál Lunny, and a UCD Special Collections exhibition plus more to be announced…

Sculpture and Art Trail with Dr Fernando Sánchez-Migallón Cano
Take a Joycean stroll through leafy Belfield and appreciate the extensive art and sculpture collection on campus. Led by UCD Art Curator, this Sculpture and Art Trail will include commissioned pieces of art inspired by Joyce as well as original photographs from his time as a student at UCD.

Strolling Through Ulysses! tells the fun-filled story of Bloomsday in a humorous, entertaining and informative manner, with extracts from the novel which best illustrate the various aspects of Joyce’s writing.

Launch of New Word Order XII – UCD Mary Lavin Centre for Creative Writing
The journal features new fiction, poetry, and non-fiction from Ireland and around the world with the launch including a conversation with one contributing authors, Maggie Armstrong (Old Romantics, 2024).
