‘A Play on Ulysses’ is a unique Bloomsday event in Dublin, a fully dramatised adaptation of Ulysses, compressed into 75 action filled minutes. Eighteen professional actors, plus singers, musicians and dancers, combine to provide an comic, poignant and enlightening insight into James Joyce’s Ulysses. The play is performed on-street at The Cross in the heart of Blackrock village.
Nastaise Leddy and Iris Park collaborate to adapt, direct and produce ‘A Play on Ulysses’, creating an authentic and entertaining experience. The 2018 performance attracted over 400 people, so come early to get a seat.
The play is supported by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, Zurich, The Blackrock Business Network, and the retailers and terrific community of Blackrock.
