The Irish Embassy in Beijing will launch the new James Joyce exhibition Joyce: A Global Odyssey to celebrate Bloomsday at Discover Ireland – Embassy Beijing Open Day on 22nd June.
This exhibition tells the story of Joyce’s life, his works and the artistic figures who supported his incredible artistic achievements. As a revised presentation, it has a more contemporary design and updated information and material relating to themes such as the women who helped Joyce succeed. Joyce’s continuing influence and inspiration on artists and academics across the globe are also highlighted in the exhibition.
Discover Ireland is an open day event initiated by Embassy Beijing to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Ireland-China diplomatic relations and Irish literature, music, dance, films, sports, food and drinks along with community members and local audience.
The exhibition is curated and supported by Department of Foreign Affairs in partnership with Museum of Literature Ireland.
