Bloomsday in Boulder, Colorado

Truly a grand day of Joycean madness in Boulder, Colorado! “Bloomsday is a commemoration and celebration of the life of Irish writer James Joyce, observed annually in Dublin and elsewhere on 16 June, the day his 1922 novel Ulysses takes place on a Thursday in 1904[…]”

The Nu Reformed Joycean Druids of North America are putting on a full day of walking events based in downtown Boulder in celebration of the magic that is Joyce’s Ulysses.

No experience is necessary, all are welcome to come and go as they please. Costumes are encouraged see board for inspo.https://www.pinterest.com/jennydgreen/costumes-bloomsday/

This is a progressive party and will be moving around town throughout the day, keep up to date with locations for each chapter’s events here: Full schedule below. For those looking for a replacement for their tired copy of Ulysses or their 1st personal book Brother Callaway, rightfully, recommends the Everyman’s Library edition (avoid the Gambler edition at all costs!). Support and hassle your local bookstores to carry it.
