The Embassy of Ireland in Argentina has a series of events planned for the week leading up to Bloomsday.
The National University of Lanús will screen the film 100 years of Ulysses on Tuesday, 18 June at 5:30pm. The Embassy is supporting a group of local artists to play Irish music at the event. Throughout Bloomsweek, the Embassy of Ireland will post videos on our social media platforms where different Argentine scholars who have studied Joyce and his work in depth will answer questions about their field of expertise.
We will also partner with the James Joyce Centre Argentina, which hosts monthly Zoom meetings on Joyce, for their Bloomsday meeting. The Ambassador will attend and give remarks at their online meeting at 14:30 on June 15th.
