Rattlin’ of the Joists presents this year’s Bloomsday Celebration: Dangerous Desires: Sex, Sin & Scandal in Joyce. Through dramatic readings, Irish song, and live narration, the evening explores the passionate, comic, scandalous, and deeply human corners of James Joyce’s work. Drawing from across Joyce’s writings — including Ulysses, Dubliners, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, Exiles, and more — we will follow the desires, temptations, fantasies, betrayals, and longings that animate Joyce’s unforgettable characters.
