The Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Centre is delighted to present Bloomsday 2026 on Tuesday, 16th June at 6pm.
Did you know we celebrate Bloomsday in Danbury, Connecticut? Of the many ways you can do that we decided to lean into the music. We use readings from Ulysses interspaced with music and song to tell the story of Bloom’s journey through Dublin. All of the music is either referenced directly in the readings, or is at least something Joyce used. We also dress up as Edwardians, have real tea in real tea pots, and many delicious desserts! We emphasize the fun elements of Ulysses and provide an enjoyable couple of hours to both people who have read the book and people who are encountering it for the first time.
Tickets are $20 online, $25 at the door.
