This Sunday, 14th June 2026 from 2–5pm at The Drogheda Tourist Office, The Tholsel will come alive with the spirit of James Joyce. Step into the world of James Joyce and celebrate Bloomsday in the heart of Drogheda with an afternoon of music, readings, laughter, and literary charm. Guests are encouraged to dress as their favourite Joycean character and join the fun!
This event is a relatively new addition to Drogheda’s cultural calendar. We held it for the first time last year, and it proved to be a very enjoyable and memorable afternoon. Anyone who would like to read an excerpt from Ulysses during the event is warmly invited to do so. Please make yourself known at the beginning of the programme, and we will do our best to accommodate all volunteers.
