Bloomsday in London Underground Theatre

We are hosting a scratch night t on 16th June in honour of Bloomsday to fundraise for The Ulysses project and we need YOUR scripts.
We will have 9 pieces altogether – 4 will be from open submissions. Please apply below if interested.
The details are as follows:
• 16th June – Bloomsday
• Bread and Roses Theatre
• 7pm
• Run time: 90 minutes
All open submissions will be directed by one of our directors, in close collaboration with you! If you would like to bring your own actors, great, but we can also help with casting.
What we need from you:
• A peace running at 10 minutes
• Following the theme of Bloomsday/Joyce
• Very minimal tech requirements – it will very likely be lights up and lights down – if you need anything more, please run this by us
We are not able to provide rehearsal space, unfortunately, so these will either have to be pieces you are already working on or pieces you will be able to sort your own rehearsals for.
We understand this is a super fast process from submission to production, so other than providing rehearsal space, we are happy to help with anything you may need.
The themes for the scratch night are:
Outsider identity, Everyday heroism, Marriage, Betrayal, Emotional Loneliness, Fatherhood and l loss, Tolerance versus violence, Wandering, Grief, Contemporary urban struggles, Contemporainety
We are planning on running a couple of these events over the upcoming months. If you don’t manage to get a spot this time, don’t panic, keep an eye out for out next announcement!
Submissions are closing on the 10th of June at midnight.
Thank you so much!! We are very excited to read your submissions 🙂
