For Bloomsday, the Embassy of Ireland, Mexico joins the iconic Biblioteca Vasconcelos to run a long weekend programme celebrating Joyce and Irish literature on June 6-9. The programme will include activities for children and families, Irish traditional music performance by Shamrock, a dance showcase by Bradigan Academy of Irish dance, as well as reading circles to discuss Oscar Wilde and the relationship with Irish literature and pop culture. Finally, the library will host screening of documentaries 110 Years of Ulysses and Steps of Freedom, and classic film In the Name of the Father.
