Bloomsday in Milan

A reception will be held on the occasion of the inauguration of the art exhibition “Pigment and Parable. Eumeo – il rifugio” by artist Tea Jurišić.

In Trieste – Joyce’s putative city, a place where he spent his life, but also where he gathered and concentrated his energies, before the long battle with the vocabulary that would see him victorious – the Irish writer’s novel and its extraordinary characters will once again be protagonists from 13 to 16 June. A series of events – including entertainment, exhibitions, shows, concerts, food and wine offers,  guided tours  , conferences and book presentations, including the new  Forse che sì. Joyce fra Pascoli e Gadda  by Andrea Cortellessa, guest of honour at the Festival which this year also boasts the patronage of the Consulate General of Ireland in Milan – for an increasingly international celebration of Joyce, which speaks Italian and English.

Welcome to the 16th edition of  #BloomsdayTrieste , the first after the opening of the LETS – Trieste Literature Museum in Piazza Hortis 4 and the reorganization of the Joyce Museum inside it, in the building where it originally arose more than twenty years ago.

Bloomsday returns home and finds his  refuge.
