Bloomsday 2025 in Monaco
Enjoy a lovely literary afternoon for Bloomsday. We start at the Princess Grace Irish Library, followed by dramatic readings by the talented actors from the Monaco-Ireland Arts Society, taking place in front of the Prince’s Palace and at other locations. What fun to frolick through the streets singing Molly Malone to the enjoyment of all the tourists last year!
Join us for our much-loved, annual event in Monaco – a not-to-be-missed cultural celebration of James Joyce’s modernist novel. The actors always give a superb performance and you can join in the spirit of the occasion by wearing a hat. We end the event at the library for some refreshments.
You will learn more about Ulysses and the background to this masterpiece, published in 1922 by American ex-pat Sylvia Beach in Paris, who met Joyce at a party in the French capital.
