Bloomsday in Philadelphia

Every year on June 16, the world celebrates Bloomsday, the day that James Joyce’s Ulysses is set in 1904. Nowhere, however, celebrates quite like the Rosenbach, home of Joyce’s original manuscript! The Bloomsday Festival is an all-day event featuring public readings, local food vendors, and musical performances that bring Joyce’s epic novel to life. You’re welcome to drop by this signature Philadelphia event any time—or spend the day with us! Listen to the reading, enjoy free admission to the Rosenbach to view the Ulysses manuscript, and relax with friends and family in the beer garden with a special Bloomsday brew from our partners at Attic Brewing Company.

Tickets are free but booking is essential.

The Bloomsday Festival and programs are made possible by The Consulate General of Ireland’s Emigrant Support Programme, Lenore Steiner and Perry Lerner, and the South Jersey Celtic Society.
