Bloomsday in Salzburg: James Joyce in Video, Audio & Neuer Musik live
For almost 75 years, Salzburg has celebrated Irish author James Joyce on the day of his famous novel Ulysses, 16 June. Since 2008, the Gunnar Berg Ensemble Salzburg has been the house ensemble for Salzburg Bloomsday – named after Leopold Bloom, the main character in Ulysses.
Bloomsday Salzburg 20245 is a collaboration between Verein Literaturhaus, Salzburger Gesellschaft für Musik and Institut für Neue Musik/Mozarteum Salzburg as a evening concert at Mozarteum Universität. On Monday 16 June at 7pm, writers, composers and musicians invite you to free readings and premieres of newly composed musical works inspired by James Joyce.
