Bloomsday in Stockholm
The James Joyce Society of Sweden and Finland celebrates Bloomsday at Rönells Antikvariat, Stockholm.

The afternoon begins with a welcome from Magnus Ringborg, chairman of the Swedish-Finnish James Joyce Society, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland, Barbara Jones.

Then there will be panel discussions, music, mingling and reading aloud. You can check the programme here.
Lars Johansson has tranlated part of Finnegans Wake into Swedish and Leif Hoeghaug has done the same into Norwegian. They will have a discussion on the problems of translating this text.
Olle Unenge, guitar etc.; Irish folk songs and music related to James Joyce.
We will read Ulysses in Swedish , followed by a ’round table reading’ led by Christina Hellman.
In collaboration with the Irish Embassy, The James Joyce Society of Sweden and Finland, Rönnells Vänner, the Cultural Council, the City of Stockholm and Humlegården Fastigheter.
The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
