Whether you’re a fan of Joyce or just love a good cultural event, this day is packed with great vibes, stories, and community spirit. The day begins at Bishops Palace at 11.00 am for a Bloomsday Waterford walk. Entry is free for the tour but must be booked here on Eventbrite. Architectural locations unique to Irelands oldest city that have an association with James Joyce will feature. The walk will also include Waterford Central Library and the SETU Design Graduate Showcase that created the visual promotional work for the 2026 Bloomsday Festival in Waterford. The walk will conclude at the Granville Hotel.
Readings and performances will take place in the afternoon at the Waterford Gallery of Art (WGOA) with a special performance from the Ballycullane mummers. The actress Clare Mullen will read from ULYSSES. Exhibition of art instillation’s from the students of Design Year 4, SETU, Waterford will be on display in the gallery.
